For Milan Fashion Week last month, I captured some standout guest styles, focusing mainly on the Fendi and Prada shows. Shortly after the event, Kim Jones announced his departure from Fendi, which led me to reflect on the distinct approaches these two brands take in dressing the modern woman.

 

Under Jones, Fendi leaned into a softer, more feminine aesthetic with flowing fabrics, intricate details, and a balance of relaxed elegance and subtle structure. It created a romantic, effortless feel that remains both wearable and contemporary. In contrast, Miuccia Prada’s designs emphasize strength and boldness—sharp, tailored pieces that exude power and confidence, with a clean, structured style that demands attention.
