Since taking the helm at Courrèges, Nicolas Di Felice has continuously navigated between the geometric futurism established by André Courrèges and the pulse of contemporary subcultures. For the FW25 men’s and pre-fall women’s collection, he distills these influences into a study of circularity—both in form and philosophy. Last season’s Carré Magique evolves into the Cercle Magique, dissolving sharp angles into fluid contours. Cycles, both literal and metaphorical, guide this collection: the rhythm of day and night, the interplay of rebellion and elegance, and the enduring presence of motorcycle culture.
Artistic Codes: From Piacentino to the Biker Aesthetic
Di Felice found inspiration in Gianni Piacentino, the 1970s artist known for his radical minimalism and near-devotional obsession with motorcycles. This duality—precision and raw energy—translates into the structural contrasts of the collection.
In menswear, traditional workwear pieces such as trucker jackets, bombers, tracksuits, and baseball caps are reimagined with precise tailoring, transforming functional garments into sleek, sculptural forms. Womenswear features black vinyl patchwork skirts, accessories, and outerwear, evoking automotive interiors and underscoring the fusion of industrial aesthetics with sensuality.
Blurring the Boundaries Between Day and Night
Di Felice continues his signature play on time-fluid dressing, rejecting the rigid dichotomy of daywear and eveningwear. By day, oversized flight jackets, high-neck knits, and relaxed trousers highlight ease and adaptability. As night falls, subtler provocations emerge—micro-stud embellishments glint like constellations, sheer tattoo-like mesh mimics body ink, and black lace contours the skin with quiet sensuality.
