Amidst the grand spectacles of Milan Fashion Week, the art259design presentation compelled me to slow down. It was a quiet, pure moment where designer Alberto Affinito invited dancers from the Accademia Ucraina di Balletto<\/i> to let the garments speak through genuine movement.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Alberto shared with me that the inspiration for this season was remarkably spontaneous\u2014born from a chance encounter on the street with a young girl returning from dance class<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>Her relaxed posture and the way she wore her clothes moved him to create a collection entirely focused on the “person” rather than just the “garment”<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

You know how fastidious I am about fabrics, but Alberto\u2019s mastery of “duality” and “dynamics” this season truly impressed me.<\/p>

The Cold-Dye Experiment with Silk Georgette:<\/b> <\/span>He utilized a special cold-dyeing technique to give the silk an uneven, smoky visual quality<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>When the dancers pirouetted, this lightweight fabric appeared like a swirling cloud in the air<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>It brilliantly resolved the issue of transparency while granting the body ultimate freedom<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

The Dual Character of Linen Satin:<\/b> <\/span>The designer was bold in his material selection, deliberately utilizing the rougher “reverse side” of linen satin for certain pieces<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>While the front offers fluidity for elegant occasions, the reverse side provides a stiffness and texture more suited to everyday wear, endowing a single garment with two distinct souls<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

The Sculptural Act of Cotton Metal Velvet:<\/b> <\/span>Fabrics incorporating metallic threads have always been a signature of art259design<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>For this season, the cotton metal velvet was entirely crafted on the mannequin<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>This was not merely tailoring; it was a “true sculptural act,” giving the garments a unique, architectural three-dimensionality<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

The Dynamic Extension of Memory Fabric:<\/b> <\/span>In contrast to the heavy sculptural feel of velvet, the memory fabric this season focused on lightness, transparency, and malleability<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>It formed a cascade of natural folds and ruffles on the dancers, appearing as natural extensions of the body’s curves and muscular movement, perfectly capturing the frenzy of the dance<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

The collection concluded with pleated poplin and imperfect knits, adding a touch of sporty reality\u2014imperfect, yet authentic<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

The theme, “Si pu\u00f2 fare” (It could work), borrows a line from the film <\/span>Young Frankenstein<\/span><\/i><\/span>.
